Welcome to Aphelion Drift, a metropolis spaceport orbiting Capulus 2, the last Terran outpost on the edge of the galaxy. Two million souls from a variety of planets, countries and origins call Aphelion Drift home. And while ‘the Drift’ is an interstellar tourist destination famous for its multiculturalism, strange technological religions, Dakarig music scene, galactic commerce and scientific academia, over the decades the Drift has also become a hotbed of crime. Unabashedly capitalistic, the Drift has spawned an ugly underclass mired in poverty, while the super wealthy enjoy all the opulence the galaxy can provide. The Aphelion Drift Police (ADP) spend more time protecting the affluent than worrying about the city’s unfortunate. In the Drift's slums, off-world syndicates and extraterrestrial drug-lords vie for control of the lucrative but illegal pharma territories. It rains constantly on the lower levels, a by-product of the Drift’s pollution, humidity and synthetic environment. Prostitution, smuggling and android trafficking run rampant. This is the Aphelion Drift the port’s authorities and the holosheets keep quiet. To make matters worse, recent winds of war from the nearby Asteria star system have turned the orbiting city into a center of intrigue and espionage as a long-standing cold war turns hot.
There are two million stories in Aphelion Drift...these are but eighteen of them.
