Inspector Cole Bradley, Terran agent for the Ontological Enforcement Consortium (OEC), has been reactivated and assigned Time Bureau File 5.4030.3…one of the Bureau’s most dangerous cases. Bradley is dispatched to chase the arch-criminal Doctor Belief, an extradimensional entity recently escaped from hypercube confinement on Thebe, one of Jupiter’s many strange moons. Originally imprisoned for inciting insurrections on a variety of worlds, Doctor Belief has the unusual ability to generate charismatic faith. Traveling from world to world in a quest for absolute power not just physical but theological, his many victims see him as a god. Those infected by Doctor Belief will do his bidding without question, no matter how ridiculous or terrible the order. This makes him a particularly difficult target for the OEC, and one somehow able to travel beyond the limits of spacetime. Doctor Belief’s latest caper finds him conquering planets, only to pit them against each other in galactic warfare. Informants have suggested Doctor Belief is currently hiding on Terra. The OEC theorizes Doctor Belief is operating in service of third party, but who the client is, and what the pay off might be, remain a mystery…
